Summer Camps

Two weeks dedicated in summer – all over Europe

This summer, too, international groups across Europe volunteered – #mitASF : They maintained Jewish cemeteries in Poland, Hungary or Lithuania or they uncovered the foundations of a destroyed synagogue in Višķi, Latvia.

Other groups researched the life stories of the persecutees in memorial sites or dealt with the relationship between a former concentration camp and today’s living environment in the neighborhood in a photo project. In the German-Israeli summer camp, the participants dealt with queer identities in both countries.

In addition to practical engagement, research and excursions, the international participants also got to know and understand each other and the different imprints and perspectives better during many discussion rounds, free time and excursions.
